Kameran Osman, a member of the Christian Peacemaker Teams (CPT), issued a statement regarding today’s attacks by the invading Turkish army on southern Kurdistan.
Kameran Osman reported that at around 15:45 today, the invading Turkish army bombed the villages of Sîpandar, Girgaş, Mijê, and Kevne Mijê 27 times in the Bergarê area of the Amêdiyê district in Duhok.
Kameran Osman stated that no casualties were reported as a result of the bombardment but noted that the invading Turkish state targeted civilians who were in the area for picnicking and leisure.
It was also noted that the invading Turkish army has intensified its attacks in the past three days on Mount Garê and the surrounding villages in southern Kurdistan.
