Some regions in Hakkari center and Çukurca, Şemdinli and Gever districts have been declared 'special security zones' for 15 days.

The related statement of the Hakkari Governorate says that 29 locations have been marked as 'security zones' for the time between 11 September 2017 and 25 September 2017, announcing that access to these regions is prohibited.

Some days ago, Turkish drones shelled the region and killed a villager, wounding 3 others. While the Governorate depicted these villagers as 'accomplices', the Turkish Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu downplayed and approved the killings of villagers with the words, "Such technical mistakes can happen."
