HPG Media Center issued a written statement and informed the public about guerilla actions and the attacks of state forces on Medya Defense Zones.

ACTION IN BİTLİS

HPG stated that guerillas carried out an action against the soldiers at Rıclek outpost in Bitlis at 19:00 on May 22. Three soldiers died and one tank was damaged during the action that was carried out in memory of martyr guerilla Xemgin Koçer. Turkish soldiers bombarded nearby areas after the action.

DIGGER HIT IN ULUDERE

HPG said that guerillas carried out an action against an earth digger of the Turkish army building trenches in the Şehidan Hill of Şırnak’s Uludere district at 07:00 on May 23, and forced the digger to retreat.

AERIAL BOMBARDMENT IN METİNA

The media center announced that Turkish warplanes bombarded the Asê, Xankê and Yekmalê villages of Medya Defense Zones’ Metina region between 04:30 and 05:00 on May 23, and damaged villagers’ gardens.

1 GUERILLA MARTYRED DURING THE CLASHES IN AMED

HPG stated that clashes broke out between guerillas and state forces in a rural part of Amed on May 21 and one guerilla fell as martyr during the clashes. Below is the ID information of the martyred guerilla:
