31 people arrested in Erçiş
31 of the 37 people that had been detained during the house raids on November 17 have been accused of “abetting and aiding an organization” and arrested as part of the AKP government’s political genocide operations.
31 of the 37 people that had been detained during the house raids on November 17 have been accused of “abetting and aiding an organization” and arrested as part of the AKP government’s political genocide operations.
A court hearing was held in Van’s Erciş district regarding the 37 people that had been detained on November 17. Judges decided to release 6 detainees on probation, and charged the remaining 31 people with “abetting and aiding an organization.”
The legal bases for the arrests are secret witness testimonies, and many of the detainees were subject to torture.
