36 youths completed their training and joined the ranks of People's Defense Units (YPG) in Hesekê
36 youths completed the 'Martyr Sîpan Hesekê' training cycle at the Martyr Xebat Military academy and graduated after receiving a month of intensified military and ideology classes. A ceremony was held for the YPG fighters that completed their training, and YPG commanders and families of martyrs and YPG fighters attended the ceremony.
The graduation ceremony began with a military ceremony. YPG commander Elî Cesûr made a speech afterwards and said “I congratulate you for choosing the path of resistance” to the YPG fighters that completed their training.
Cesûr ended his speech by promising that they will create a federative and democratic Syria and follow in the footsteps of martyrs.
After the YPG commander's speech, YPG fighters promised to be the legitimate self-defense force of peoples.
Sîpan Hesekê had fallen as martyr on October 24, 2014 during the Kobanê resistance.
