HDP Şırnak MP Ferhat Encü who is in the district at the moment stated that the Zap neighborhood is being targeted by intensified tank strikes amid huge blasts.
According to the information provided by Encü, tanks have targeted a civilian house in Barbaros neighborhood, leaving İsa, Ahmet, Muhyettin and Saadettin Tonguç from the same family dead.
70 years old Züleyha Şalk has also died in the same neighborhood. Bodies of the slain civilians remain in the area.
Earlier today, HDP MP Encü said; "State forces are making an effort to evacuate the district by conducting such intensified artillery strikes. In the areas under fire, soldiers are forcing people out of their houses."
According to the most recent reports the neighborhoods of Zap and Barbaros have been evacuated by now. People have nowhere to go and they keep waiting on the İpek Yolu (Silk Road). Police forces are opening fire into the air and forcing people to leave Silopi.
In the meantime as many as 50 people including DBP district administrators have been taken into custody.
