On April 19, guerrillas from YJA Star (Free Women’s Troops) struck Turkish soldiers in a coordinated action in the Kurêjahro area of Zap, located in the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).
Four Turkish soldiers were killed as a result of strikes at close range by the first group of the guerrillas with semi-automatic weapons.
Another soldier was killed in action by the second group of guerrillas.
A total of five Turkish soldiers, one of whom was an officer, were killed following the action carried out under the leadership of YJA Star.
