5 soldiers killed as YJA Star strikes Turkish troops in Zap

Five Turkish soldiers, one of whom was an officer, were killed in an action carried out by YJA Star guerrillas against the occupying Turkish army in Zap's Kurêjahro area on April 19.

On April 19, guerrillas from YJA Star (Free Women’s Troops) struck Turkish soldiers in a coordinated action in the Kurêjahro area of Zap, located in the guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones in southern Kurdistan (northern Iraq).

Four Turkish soldiers were killed as a result of strikes at close range by the first group of the guerrillas with semi-automatic weapons.

Another soldier was killed in action by the second group of guerrillas.

A total of five Turkish soldiers, one of whom was an officer, were killed following the action carried out under the leadership of YJA Star.
