62 politicians, writers, artists and intellectuals from Iran and Kurdistan published a letter demanding the physical freedom of Kurdish people's leader, Abdullah Öcalan.

The letter said: “We, the peoples who want freedom, peace, democracy, equality and justice, say that it is time to demand serious and effective steps to ensure the freedom of Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Every person should demand freedom and justice for the Kurdish people and the peoples living in the region.”

The statement said that the Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan is “the key to solving the problems faced by the peoples of the region. For this reason, we demand the physical freedom of Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan. The freedom of Öcalan is a moral, conscientious and humanitarian duty and responsibility.
