69 ISIS members killed in heavy clashes around Manbij

Heavy clashes are taking place between fighters of the Manbij Military Council and ISIS gangs in the western, northern and northwestern sides of the Manbij city. As many as 69 ISIS members were killed during the clashes.

Combatants of the Manbij Military Council and Syrian Democratic Forces are making further advances towards the ISIS-occupied city of Manbij as the Operation Martyr Commander Faysal Abu Layla continues in its 12th day. ISIS gangs are resorting to various methods to break the siege laid by MMC ad SDF combatants on the city from four sides.

Fierce clashes erupted after fighters of the Manbij Military Council retaliated against an attack conducted by ISIS gangs in between Sultaniyê and Hemduniyê areas, 1 km west of Manbij. Clashes are going on.

On the other hand, gangs attacked the surroundings of the Medna village to the north of Manbij last night. The aggression from three directions was immediately and harshly responded by Manbij Military Council fighters, which resulted in clashes that lasted till the morning. At least 48 gang members were reported killed during the clashes in this area.

According to the reports coming through, corpses of at least 21 ISIS members were found during mop-up operations conducted in the village of Kebirca newly liberated from the ISIS.
