8 artists detained in Amed and Van
8 people including musicians and theater players have been detained by the police in Amed and Van.
Turkish police conducted an operation against musicians and theater players in Amed and Van provinces.
Artist Şêrko Kanîwar was taken into custody following a raid on his house in Amed. The reason for the detention was not disclosed.
On the other hand, artists Kemal Yıldırım, Emine Aksoy, Saliha Ayata, Elif Gemicioğlu, İlayda Kutlar, Asmin Açar and Ferhat Aslan were detained in Van city. The reason for the detentions here was not disclosed either.
