Gang groups affiliated with the Turkish army launched an attack on Rojava's Shehba region with mortar and artillery fire at around 20:00 Monday evening. The attacks from Mari town and Til Malid and Tewis villages targeted the Shehba region, Hesiye, Um Hosh, Herbel and Sheikh Isa areas.
The attack faced an immediate response by revolutionary forces. According to reports from the region, the attacks continued into the late hours of the night. Nine members of the Turkish-backed gangs were wounded near the village of Zoyan.
The ongoing attacks of Turkey-backed gangs on Shehba region liberated from ISIS serve the invading Turkish army's alleged goal to surround Aleppo by unifying the Azaz and Idlib regions.
