Regarding the aggravated isolation imposed on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan, mother Xezal Silo from Shengal spoke to the ANF and said: "We strongly condemn the isolation on Leader Apo. We do not accept this policy the AKP is pursuing against Leader Apo because he is the leader of humanity, he has to be freed at once."

Xezal Silo recalled that at the time of the genocide on 3 August 2014 all those forces stationed in Shengal deserted them and continued: "However, the fighters of Leader Apo headed to Mount Shengal and rescued us from those barbarians. In other words, aside from the militants of Leader Apo, nobody gave us a helping hand at all. The other forces, on the contrary, let us down and left us into the clutches of the savage ISIS."

Mother Xezal stated that they, the Êzidî community, will never abandon the path of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and said: "Leader Apo is not the leader of the Kurds alone, he is the leader of humanity. We, the Êzidî community, will never forget what Leader Apo has done for our community. And we say, it is vital that Leader Apo becomes free soon."
