Êzidxan Youth Union holds 3rd conference in Shengal

The 3rd Conference of the Êzidxan Youth Union started with the participation of hundreds of young people.

The 3rd Conference of the Êzidxan Youth Union, organized under the slogan 'Let's Crown the Freedom War with Victory for the Freedom of Leader Öcalan and Guarantee the Autonomy of Shengal’, started in the Digûr district of Shengal with the participation of hundreds of Yazidi, Arab and Turkmen youth from Shengal and Mosul.

In addition to Yazidi, Arab and Turkmen youth, members of the YBŞ (Shengal Resistance Units) and Êzidxan Asayish (Yazidi Security Forces) are also attending the conference.

The opening speech was made by Xemgin Şengali, one of the YBŞ Commanders, who started his speech by commemorating the martyrs of the freedom struggle, wishing that the conference would be instrumental in the unity of the Yazidi youth. "The Yazidi youth have taken the responsibility of defending the society. Our youth should lead the struggle against attacks, occupation and dirty plans. We are the students of Leader Apo (Abdullah Öcalan) and the followers of Martyr Zeki and Martyr Zerdeşt. The enemy has plans to destroy society and alienate the youth from society. However, our youth, who have the spirit of resistance, know that the destruction of  youth means the destruction of society. Our youth must resist with the power of the likes of Vejîn and Cîlo. As Leader Öcalan said, 'We started young, we will finish young'. This remark is most valid for the youth of Yazidis and Shengal.”

Cihan Celo, Co-Chair of the Democratic Autonomous Assembly of Shengal, and TAJÊ Spokesperson Riham Hijp also made speeches.

The conference will continue with a visual message from Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan to the youth, messages from youth from Europe, Russia, Rojava, Maxmur and South Kurdistan, a written and video message sent by PADÊ to the conference and a screening about the work of the youth.

During the conference, the problems of organization and work of the youth will be discussed, and the statute of the Êzidxan Youth Union will be reviewed and opened to discussion.

The closing speech will be made by Sara Şengali, spokesperson of the Êzidxan Youth Union. After that, a statement will be made for the freedom of Abdullah Öcalan.
