Kurdish novelist Eli Kerimi, called all political actors in East Kurdistan to fill the political gap and lead society to a revolution like the revolution in Rojava.
Speaking to Rojnews, Eli Kerimi commented about the protests in East Kurdistan (Rojhilat) after killing of two kolbers by Iranian soldiers. Kerimi called all Rojhilat political parties to lead the society to a revolution like in Rojava.
“The killing of kolbers is not a new thing. Iranian regime’s soldiers open fire at kolbers for no reason. But the recent killing of two kolbers hurt people. The political institutions in Rojhilat should respond to people’s will. If all political parties seize this opportunity the will make history” Kerimi said.
Kerimi called everyone to show solidarity with Iranian Kurds and the political groups on Rojhilat to unite and work on a common programme.
Kerimi underlined the need to a re-evaluation of the political organizations in Rojhilat and said “The protests in Bane, Merivan and Sine are positive. In the past we thought there should be a change in Tahran. But today no. Today the developments in Rojava and South Kurdistan has its effect on Rojhilat. Rojava is the smallest part of Kurdistan but now it’s at the centre of a great change (for Kurdish people). Now it’s on a level that everyone says the solution of the Kurdish problem will start in Rojava. Now its Rojhilat’s turn. But a political group should lead the society for that.”
When asked if the social dynamics of Rojhilat is ready for a revolution Kerimi said: “The people of Rojava are under immense pressure of Iranian regime. They are always ready for revolution and uprising. But the people become silent when there is no support. There is no political party that can support people so it effects the dynamics of revolution. The Iranian Kurdistan Democratic Party and Komala are based in South Kurdistan and they are completely buried in silence.”
Kerimi called all political parties to start a workshop and called all intellectuals and politicians to attend.
Kerimi said that there is a good chance that Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK) will be able to fill the political gap in Rojhilat. He said the expects PJAK to use the experiences from Rojava in Rojhilat.
