Environmentalist Serîf Bacwer, who started a cycle tour from Merîwan city in Eastern Kurdistan (Rojhilat) to Tehran to protest the killings of kolbers [Kurdish word for porter in border region], has reached Iran's capital city on Friday.

Bacwer started his tour on 11 September and was accommodated and supported by many people, environmentalists and civil society organisations during his long route until Tehran.

Welcomed by Kurds and human rights advocates in Tehran's Azadi Park, Bacwer stated that he staged the activity in protest at the killings of kolbers, and arrest of human rights advocates like Atena Daîmmî and Riza Şahabî.

In the past, Bacwer attended many protest demonstrations for the nature and against attacks of the Iranian regime, which eventually led his shop in Merîvan being burned down by Iranian intelligence (Itlaat) members last year.
