Kazım Şükri (Takur Zerdeşti) who was detained by asayish (public security) forces affiliated to the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) on December 6, has gone on hunger strike.
According to Roj News Agency, Zerdeşti’s son Yaşar Kazim said that they have not received any news from his father for days, telling the following; “We went to see my father but they did not allow us. They told us nothing as to why he was taken into custody. The only thing we know is that my father went on hunger strike soon after his detention. My father is ill and his health condition is poor.”
