Aerial bombardment in the rural areas of Silvan under curfew

The curfew was first put in place to involve 4 neighborhoods and later expanded to 10 neighborhoods. The ban to go out was reportedly put into effect because a military operation would be started in the territory between the neighborhoods of Ergeçidi, Üçdirek, Erkenciler and Dolapdere.

The imposition of the curfew was followed by intense aerial activity as helicopters taking off from the Gendarmerie Tactics Regimental Command in Feridun neighborhood were observed heading to the military operation zone.

Reports are coming through that the rural areas of Şêlima and Hindês neighborhoods were bombed by Turkish aircraft starting from last night until this morning.

According to local sources, Turkish jets conducted reconnaissance flights over the region till early hours of the morning when the rural areas of Şêlima and Hindês neighborhoods have once again gone under fire of Turkish aircraft. No information was immediately available as to whether the ongoing bombardment has resulted in casualties.

Reports say that soldiers remain deployed in the areas under curfew and the mentioned territory is being bombed by Turkish jets.
