Asos mountain on the Iran-Iraq (Eastern and Southern Kurdistan) border has been shelled by warplanes for the second time this month.
Warplanes have shelled Mount Asos located on the border between Rojhilat (Eastern) and Bashur (Southern) Kurdistan. Local sources say the bombardment at 10:00 local time Sunday morning was carried out by Turkish jets.
Turkish warplanes had shelled the same area on November 4th. The bombardment was reportedly conducted with the coordinates provided by Iran.
The Asos mountain is located on the border between Rojhilat’s Sardasht city and Sharbajar in Bashur’s Sulaymaniyah city.
Asos is an area outside of the Medya Defense Zones where the PKK forces are positioned. The area has experienced an air raid for the first time on November 4th. Sources say Iranian scout planes were flying over the area shortly before the Turkish jets’ bombing. The general opinion is that Iran scouted and Turkey bombed.
