Turkish police raided the home of two young men murdered in 2015, torturing and detaining the brothers of slain civilians.
Friday morning, police forces conducted a raid on the home of Abdullah and Hacı Özdal brothers who had been murdered by state forces in 2015 in Cizre district of Kurdish Şırnak city.
The raid was carried out with 6 armored vehicles and police detained the brothers of slain civilians, Hamza Özdal (20) and Ali Özdal (21).
Mother Gül Özdal stated that policemen wearing masks on their faces tortured her sons and messed the house during the raid.
The mother said; “My son wanted to kiss his 10-month-old kid but they kicked and prevented him. They dragged my other children on the ground and battered them brutally. They hit my son Hamza’s foot with their arms.”
Mother Özdal said police also thretened them not to speak of the torture they prepetrated, saying; “A state protects its people but this state is torturing them.”
