Heavy bombing that started in the night continues in Hakkari’s Yüksekova (Gever) district where popular resistance against the siege and bombings enters its 17th day. Big explosions can occasionally be heard as the bombing continues on Cumhuriyet and Güngör neighborhoods where the resistance led by YPS and YPS-JIN can’t be broken with the tanks stationed in the District Regimental Command, Efeler Battalion and Şemzinan road. Hundreds of residential and commercial buildings have been demolished with the bombings and several fires broke out in the night.

Several armored vehicles were dispatched to the resistance neighborhoods via İpekyolu Avenue. Not allowing the state forces entry to the neighborhoods, YPS and YPS-JIN forces continue their resistance.
