Destruction continues in the Abdulkadirpaşa, Fırat, Dicle and Yenişehir neighborhoods of Mardin’s Nusaybin district where the curfew enters its 309th day. According to local sources, an unidentified body was found during the ongoing excavation work in Fırat Neighborhood. The body is expected to be sent to Diyarbakır Forensics Institution.
After the imposition of a curfew in Nusaybin on March 14, 2016 bodies of 25 out of the 83 people that died during the clashes could be identified when the curfew was partially lifted on July 25. Of the bodies that have not been returned to their families, 23 were buried in the cemetery of the nameless in Urfa and 6 in Amed. The bodies of 8 people are still being held at Istanbul Forensics Institution.
