Casualties in Cizre become clearer with the lifting of the curfew after 8 days during which over 20 people lost their lives as a result of heavy attacks by Turkish state forces.
Following the murder of 75-year-old civilian Mehmet Erdoğan in Cudi neighborhood, father of five, who went out to find some bread for his children last night, it came out that 70-year-old Şahin Açık also lost his life after suffering a heart attack during the attacks that lasted all night long.
Alongside other civilians who have been denied burial for days now, Açık's body has also been taken to Cizre State Hospital morgue.
In the meantime, it is reported three civilians from the same family, Ferhat Yeşil, Behiye Yeşil and Bahaddin Yeşil, were wounded as a result of fire opened by snipers and police from armored vehicles. The three have been taken under treatment at Cizre State Hospital.
