During the political extermination operation carried out in the Pervari district of Siirt province on 6 October, the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) district co-chair Sıddık Yılmaz, Green Left Party district co-chair Habeş Güzel and HDP former district co-chair Nazmiye Güzel were taken into custody.

After the finalization of procedures at Siirt provincial gendarmerie command, the detained politicians were referred to the courthouse on Saturday evening, accused of spreading propaganda for the PKK.

While Sıddık Yılmaz and Habeş Güzel were released, Nazmiye Güzel was remanded in custody and sent to the M Type Closed Prison in Batman.
