Court hearings of the "KCK Main Case" where 191 Kurdish politicians including Osman Baydemir, Dirayet Taşdemir, Selma Irmak, Ahmet Yıldırım, Besime Konca, Alican Önlü and Nadir Yıldırım are prosecuted continued in Amed 2nd High Criminal Court continued today.

On September 5, the court had decided that 7 HDP parliamentarians should be apprehended by force and Selma Irmak be issued a summons.

Today, parliamentarians Selma Irmak and Besime Konca, who had been arrested on November 4, were not brought to the hearing. HDP Amed Parliamentarian Feleknas Uca joined the hearing as an observer.

Lawyer Cihan Aydın recalled that the testaments of Çağlar Demirel, Besime Konca, Alican Önlü and Dirayet Taşdemir had already been taken, and called upon the court to change its decision to have these people summoned to court again as well as to remove the apprehension warrants for these parliamentarians.

Lawyer Mesut Beştaş recalled that they had demanded a change in the judges of the court because of a “proved guilty as charged” phrase in a statement they had sent to the Turkish Parliament, but halted their demand and applied to the Constitutional Court, and requested that prosecution is paused until the Constitutional Court makes its decision.

The prosecution demanded that the gaps in the file be filled, and the judges decided to remove the apprehension warrants for the prosecuted HDP parliamentarians.

Judges refused the lawyers’ demand that prosecution is paused until the Constitutional Court makes its decision, and decided that HDP Hakkari Parliamentarian Selma Irmak imprisoned in Silivri Prison joins the next hearing via video conference.

Judges also decided to hold the next hearing in April 2017 and wait until the politicians prosecuted in the "KCK Main Case" including KCK Executive Council member Sabri Ok, Kongra-Gel Co-President Remzi Kartal, Nurettin Demirtaş, Hüseyin Zorlu, Fikri Aktaş, Müzeyyen Güneş, Nadire Nergiz, Mesude Şahin, Kenan Ayaz, Gülabi Dere, Özlem Tanrıkulu, Hamit Aslan, Nesrin Deniz, Remzi Kartal, Mustafa Sarıkaya, Şükran Aydın, Mehmet Ermiş, Mehmet Duman, Gülistan Aksoy, Gülay Calap, Ünal Ahmet Çelen and Erkan Pişkin are apprehended and brought to court.
