Under the leadership of the Arab Regions People's Assembly in Shengal, a march was held to demand freedom for Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
The Arab people living in Shengal held a mass march on Friday evening to demand freedom for Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan. Hundreds of people attended the march led by the People's Assembly.
The march, which was organized with the slogan "We Will Break the Isolation of Imrali with the Democratic Nation System", started from the village of Xelef and continued to the village of Barê. Posters of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan were carried during the march.
A press statement was read in the village of Barê. "On behalf of the Arab citizens living in Shengal, we condemn the isolation of Leader Öcalan," the statement said, adding: “The injustice faced by Leader Öcalan is a crime under international law. We must guarantee Leader Öcalan's freedom. Because it was Leader Öcalan who was able to bring all the components together and develop an atmosphere of peace. Önder Öcalan likens the world to a rose garden and points out that there will not be a single rose in the garden. This is the message that if peoples do not live together, there will be no peaceful life in the world.”
