The historic legacy and churches left by the Armenians after the genocide are being destroyed one by one.
The genocidal state tradition tries to destroy historic legacy as soon as possible, let alone protecting it, while treasure hunters tear out and pillage Armenian headstones and church ruins.
Many monuments, graves and churches left in Van and its districts by the Armenians are torn down, as a continuation of the 1915 Armenian Genocide. The damaged cultural legacy and church ruins are used as stables in some villages and in other areas, they have been turned into parking lots. The trustee appointed to the Edremit district recently built a public restroom facility over the Armenian graves and added to the massacre of the historic legacy.
GRAVES TORN OUT AND PILLAGED
In Van’s Bahçesaray (Müküs) district, the historic legacy and ruins left behind by the Armenians have been damaged by the treasure hunters. Treasure hunters tore open and pillaged Armenian graves.
After more than a century, historic legacy is still under attack and there is no official attempt to protect the Armenian graves and churches. On the contrary, the appointed trustees destroy historic legacy buildings one by one.
