Arrested Co-mayor Ahmet Türk: We will not bow down

Ahmet Türk said "We lived through September 12 and the 90s, we did not bow down then and will not bow down now."

After being dismissed from his duty by the Ministry of Interior Affairs and getting arrested by Mardin 2nd Peace Court yesterday, Mardin Metropolitan Municipality Co-mayor Ahmet Türk stated that the court decision was political, his life was a struggle for peace, and he would not bow down.

In his statement, Ahmet Türk said "I have been a politician for 40 years, I spent my life in a struggle for peace. I lived through September 12 and the 90s, now we are experiencing the same thing, I will not bow down. The court decision is political. We served our people, we cannot be accused based on the confessions of anonymous witnesses."
