Efrîn Asayish Forces General Administration released a statement regarding the aerial attack that targeted a checkpoint in Xezawiyê village in the Şêrewa district of Efrîn yesterday.

The statement by Asayish Forces Official Spokesperson Cîgerxwîn Memo remarked that the scene hit by the attack is a major location used by civilians for passage and meeting their basic needs.

Cîgerxwîn Memo stated that the attack targeted civilians, leaving 8 dead and 51 others wounded, 19 of whom remain in critical condition.

Memo said they have established from the wreckage of a rocket used in the attack that the rocket is Russian-made, but it remains unknown which force carried out the strike.

Memo underlined that they as Asayish Forces will do their part for the protection of civilians, migrants and the lands of the Efrîn Canton.
