As the curfew in Silvan district of Amed enters the fourth day, attacks by Turkish 'security forces' against civilians continue. Tanks in the town centre hit civilian areas with random artillery fire.

HDP Amed Deputy Sibel Yiğitalp spoke to ANF about the recent situation in the town.

Yiğitalp told that Turkish troops have targeted civilians with artillery shooting in Tekel neighborhood at 06:30 this morning, while an explosion occurred in Kale neighborhood, which was followed by intense gunshots.

HDP deputy said police forces on the other raided every house and detained all people they could reach, noting that 6 children remain stuck in Kale neighborhood after their parents were detained and they themselves were beaten by police with arms. She said they could learn only the names of 14 detainees as they cannot enter the neighborhoods under blockade.

Describing the current situation in Silvan as a rehearsal of a big massacre, Yiğitalp warned that; "The history will call all of us to account if the public opinion doesn't hinder this imminent massacre."
