People’s Defense Forces (HPG) Press Office issued a statement regarding the ongoing bombardments and aerial activities carried out by the Turkish army on guerrilla-held areas.

Remarking that the activities of the Turkish jets and drones over guerrilla areas continue, HPG reported in detail the flights carried out by Turkish aircraft in the last two days. HPG said Turkish jets carried out flights over Qandil region at 07:00 and over Avashin area at 20:00, 21:00 and 22:00 on August 31.

Regarding the reconnaissance flights, HPG reported that Turkish drones carried out flights over Şukê and Stunê areas at Avashin border at between 06.00 - 10.00 on September 1, and over Zap region at between 07.00 - 18.30 on August 31 and at between 04.00 - 06.00 on September 1.

HOWITZER, TANK AND MORTAR ATTACKS CONTINUE

Regarding the bombardments launched on Medya Defense Zones from Turkish military posts at the border, HPG provided the following details;

Troops at Garê military post at Xakurkê border shelled Hill Geniş area at between 10.30 - 12.00 on August 31. Guerrilla forces responded to the bombardment with heavy weaponry.

Troops at Serbesta military post at Metina border shelled Hill Kuroşino and foothills at between 22.00 - 23.00 on August 31.

Troops at Elemun military post shelled Hill Zendura at between 22.00 - 23.00 on August 31 and at between 00.00 - 01.00 on September 1.

Troops at Şkêr, Serê Sêvê, Eriş and Hill Ortê military posts at Zap border shelled Çiyayê Reş, Çarçerê, Yekdarê and Xeregol areas at between 07.30 - 08.30 on August 31.
