Detention of HDP executives and attacks on HDP buildings continue in the scope of AKP government's all-out war against the Kurdish people. While some pro-AKP groups and village guards attacked the HDP offices in Şırnak and Hakkari, 4 executives of the party’s Van branch were detained.

ŞIRNAK

Village guards attacked the HDP building in Çalışkan town of Şırnak’s Silopi district on the pretext of the death in an armed attack of Osman İnal, a village guard and headman of Cumhuriyet neighbourhood. While the village guards left the scene after a while, tension remains high in the town.

HAKKARİ

HDP office in Rubarok (Derecik) town of Hakkari’s Şemdinli district was set on fire last night, which left the building damaged to a great extent.

HDP Derecik branch co-chair Cabbar Taş said the attack was an organised one, adding: “Our party building was set on fire by AKP branch administrators who threatened our party at a meeting 10 days ago, and the mayor of the town from the AKP.”

VAN

Following simultaneous house raids early this morning, police detained four HDP executives in Edremit district of Van. The detainees were reportedly taken to Van provincial police headquarters.
