Attacks on Manbij repelled

Manbij Military Council stated that the aggressive attacks are aimed at occupying the region and destabilizing it, and are part of a broader Turkish occupation plan within Syrian territory.

For the past two days, the Manbij and Al-Bab Military Councils of the Syrian Democratic Forces have been steadfastly repelling violent attacks launched by the Turkish occupation state and its mercenaries on the eastern, western, and southern fronts of Manbij.

In a statement about the wave of attacks, Manbij Military Council reported that the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries have launched attacks using UAVs, heavy artillery, and ground attacks on the villages of Tal Aswad, Jabb Makhzoum, Al-Hota, Jableh Al-Hamra, and Tal Taurine. These attacks are being orchestrated from a joint operations room manned by officers from both the Turkish military and its mercenary groups.

“Despite the intensity and persistence of these attacks, our forces, under the command of their military councils, have demonstrated extraordinary resistance. They have successfully repelled all enemy advances, eliminating dozens of Turkish-backed mercenaries and injuring others,” Manbij Military Council said.

The statement added: “These aggressive actions, aimed at occupying the region and destabilizing it, are part of a broader Turkish occupation plan within Syrian territory. The SDF affirms its unwavering commitment to defending the people of the region and confronting all forms of aggression.”
