"As an old Kurdish writer, I have seen many difficulties. I call on all Kurdish parties and organizations to join efforts and work for unity."

After the Turkish state attacks on North-East Syria, the unity of the Kurdish people are once again on the agenda.
Author Seydayê Xelatî said: "If Kurds are not united in this historical process, they will lose their last chance. The gains in the 4 parts of Kurdistan are also related to our unity. The Kurds must establish unity to get rid of the attacks and massacres."
Xelatî added: "If the Kurdish people are not united, they will experience more than what they have experienced in 200 years of attacks and massacres. Therefore, we must work for the establishment of national unity. This important task falls mostly to Kurdish politicians. The Kurdish people are ready for unity. If the national unity is not established, the Kurdish people will suffer great losses."
Everyone should play his/her part
Reiterating that unity of the people in 4 parts of Kurdistan is crucial, Xelatî said: "The parties and organizations that say that they are working for Kurdistan should set aside their difference. Today, the Kurds want unity from politics. A commission should be formed as soon as possible to deal with the necessary work towards unity."
Xelatî continued: "The people who will take part in the commission should visit the 4 parts of Kurdistan and get the opinions of the people. All Kurdish parties must participate in this crucial work. Kurdish politicians need to pick up the work for a National Unity Congress from where they had left it. If we can establish our National Union, we will stop these attacks and massacres."
Calling all Kurdish parties Xelatî ended his remarks by saying: "As an old Kurdish writer, I have seen many difficulties. Some parties should now strive to be united by leaving their interests on one side. I call on all Kurdish parties and organizations to join efforts and work for unity."
