Kirkuk Governor Necmeddin Kerim announced the results of the simultaneous attacks by ISIS gangs that infiltrated into Kirkuk city from Bashir Dakuk region controlled by Shia Hashdi Shabi militia last Friday.

The Governor stated that: “During the clashes that erupted after the ISIS attack, 74 ISIS members were neutralized while more than 30 peshmergas, asayish members and civilians lost their lives. 100 other people were wounded.”

Kerim thanked the people of Kirkuk that greatly contributed to the repulsion of the ISIS attack in a short while.

The Governor added that a group of ISIS members were detained as a result of operations by asayish forces.
