Blast in Batman kills 4 soldiers, wounds 5 others
A violent explosion occurred in the countryside of Batman province. According to the Turkish media, 4 soldiers died and 5 others got wounded.
A military vehicle partaking in an operation in the countryside of Batman’s Gercüş district was hit by a blast Thursday morning.
Turkish media reports that 4 soldiers died and 5 others got wounded as a result of the explosion.
The dead and wounded soldiers were retrieved from the scene with helicopters.
The Turkish army has intensified its attacks in the wake of the explosion.
