7 of the guerrillas held in Malatya lost their lives in the bombardment of the Turkish army in Şemdinli district of Hakkari, and 13 others in clashes with Turkish troops in Beytüşşebap district of Şırnak recently.
Despite the announcement of the ID details of the fallen guerrillas by HPG Press Office, the bodies of 20 guerrillas couldn't be identified by their families due to their exposure to heavy weapons by Turkish forces.
Families of the guerrillas whose names have been announced by HPG filed an application and gave tissue samples for the identification of the bodies held in Malatya. The identification is expected to be finalized within 15 days.
