Bodies of slain YPS members left to rot in Şırnak Hospital

Bodies of YPS/YPS-JIN members who fell in Şırnak province are being kept in hospital's morgue where the freezer is not operated and the bodies are left to rot, most of which are now unrecognizable.

Bodies of YPS/YPS-JIN (Civil Defense Units) members who lost their lives as a result of state forces' genocidal attacks under the guise of a curfew that began on March 14 have been left to rot in Şırnak Public Hospital's morgue.

Families of those fighters whose names were announced, went to the hospital to see that the morgue's freezer wasn't working. Families said most of the corpses were disintegrated and some began to get wormy due to rotting, and thus couldn't be recognized by their side.

There were a total of 10 bodies, 9 male and 1 female, in Şırnak Public Hospital's morgue. The families that went to hospital today, however, told that only 6 corpses were shown to them for identification.
