Body of Encü killed in yesterday’s bombardment brought to Roboski

Body of 16-year-old Vedat Encü, who was killed in yesterday’s bombardment by Turkish military at the border, has been brought back to Roboski village in Uludere district of Şırnak.

Body of 16-year-old Vedat Encü, who was killed in yesterday’s bombardment by Turkish military at the border, has been brought back to Roboski village in Uludere district of Şırnak.

Vedat Encü was among the dozens of locals from Roboski engaged in border trade who were targeted by bombs fired from Bejûh (Gülyazı) Regimental Command late yesterday evening. Encü lost his life as a result of the bombardment which also left 5 other civilians wounded.

Encü's body was taken to Şırnak Public Hospital for a post-mortem examination last night, and brought back to the Roboski village today afternoon. Hundreds of residents flocked to the mosque after his body was brought here.

Soldiers deployed around the mosque harassed the mass as they gathered in the area, in response to which women threw stones at their armored vehicles.

Vedat Encü will be laid to rest in the Roboski cemetery after the finalization of religious duties.
