Guerrillas continue to celebrate Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan’s birthday, April 4th, despite intensified aerial bombardments and operations of the fascist Turkish army against guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones, Southern Kurdistan.

Hundreds of guerrillas have joined the celebrations, singing songs, joining Kurdish traditional dance halay and planting trees to mark their leader’s birthday.

Residents of Binarê Qendîl also gathered and planted olive trees on occasion of the Kurdish leader’s birthday. Chanting slogans praising Öcalan, the local people demanded freedom for the Kurdish leader.
