A Turkish military vehicle was hit by a huge blast in Mazıdağı district of Mardin Saturday afternoon.

Reports are coming through that at least 8 soldiers were wounded in the blast. 2 of these are reported to be in critical condition.

A number of armored vehicles and ambulances were dispatched to the scene amid reports of clashes after the blast. The scene is also witnessing an intense helicopter activity.

Wounded soldiers have reportedly been taken to Diyarbakır Military Hospital.
