There are reports that the Turkish army has attempted to cross into the Girê Boti (Tepê Xwedê) territory in Southern Kurdistan’s Barzan region. Clashes broke out when guerrilla forces retaliated, and continue still.
According to ANF reporters in the region, the Turkish army dispatched soldiers with Sikorsky helicopters supported by Cobra helicopters to the Girê Boti (also known as Tepê Xwedê) territory in Southern Kurdistan’s Barzan region that coincides with Şemdinli’s Derecik district last night at around 22:30.
Intense clashes broke out when guerrilla forces in the region retaliated, and are reported to continue still. Aerial activity also continues in the region.
Turkish fighter jets also bombed various areas in the Zagros mountains last night at the same time.
HPG hasn’t issued a statement on the matter yet.
