Fire keeps spreading across Mount Shaho as the Iranian army continues to bomb the region for 3 days. Clashes erupted yesterday in the same region.
The fire started by bombardments of the Iranian regime on Mount Shaho in Eastern (Rojhilat) Kurdistan’s Kamyaran district in the province of Sine (Sanandaj), continues for the third day now.
Iranian regime forces declared on 7 August Mount Shaho’s Tengîwer and Palengan areas a "military exercise zone”, whereafter artillery attacks started along with increased military activity in the region.
Reports say that 3 Iranian Pasdaran (Revolutionary Guard) members were killed in clashes that broke out in Mount Shaho yesterday, but it is still unclear which forces were involved in the confrontation.
The fire started by artillery attacks on this area still continues and the citizens that wanted to put it out were hindered by the Iranian forces.
According to reports, the regime forces told the local people from around not to leave their houses as the area will remain a “military exercise zone” between 7-13 August.
Local people told the ANF that most of the many Iranian pasdarans that were positioned in the villages of Tengîwer and Palengan, speak various languages.
