Turkish state’s genocidal attacks on Şırnak continue for the 63rd day. State forces shell neighborhoods as the clashes continue.

The self-rule resistance in Şırnak continues on its 63rd day. Clashes spread across the city last night and have continues throughout the night. The town had been bombarded for several days, and neighborhoods were shelled today.

State forces continue to shell Bahçelievler, Yeni Mahalle and Aydınlıkevler neighborhoods, and have caused house fires and smoke across these areas.

Violent clashes take place in İsmetpaşa, Cumhuriyet and Bahçelievler neighborhoods. Clashes are particularly intense near the Highways Maintenance Center located in between Yeni Mahalle and Bahçelievler neighborhoods. Clashes in this area have been going on for a week now and unable to advance, state forces try to enter neighborhoods by demolishing houses.

YPS and YPS-JIN members had damaged an earth digger yesterday during the clashes.

Ambulances arrive at clash sites and helicopters fly above the city frequently.
