Clashes intensify in Shengal
With ISIS gangs’ attacks on Shengal’s villages, the clashes have intensified. Some peshmerga forces are reported to have retreated from the area.
The attacks from 5 sides launched by the ISIS gangs at approximately 05.00 a.m. today have intensified in Cidale and Skinye villages. The clashes continue in the area defended by Êzidî peshmerga in the KDP. There are reports that the peshmerga forces have had to retreat from Cidale village, and that there are casualties in the clashes.
The International Coalition Forces support the peshmerga from the air with jet fighters.
Meanwhile, reports say there are several casualties in Coalition aircraft hitting a gang convoy near Shengal’s Tıl İzer village.
