The self-administration resistance against the genocidal attacks of state forces enters its 34th day in Şırnak. Clashes continue as state forces bombard the city. State forces bombarded İsmetpaşa and Cumhuriyet neighborhoods, where clashes have intensified, until the early morning hours and have destroyed hundreds of houses and businesses.

STATE FORCES DESTROY HOUSES

Clashes resumed in neighborhoods such as Gündoğdu, Tekser and Vakıfkent, where state forces destroyed and damaged civilians’ houses. State forces bombarded Yeni Mahalle neighborhood and set several businesses in the city center on fire. Fire trucks were not allowed to enter the neighborhoods and intervene in the fire.

AMBULANCE ACTIVITY

Intense ambulance activity was observed in Şırnak after the YPS’ demolition of 3 houses in İsmetpaşa neighborhood that special operations forces used as bases. Ambulances affiliated with AFAD’s National Medical Units (UMKE) go back and forth between Şırnak state hospital and the 23rd Gendarme Border Division Command.

40 STATE FORCES WERE TRAPPED UNDER RUBBLE

40 special operations forces were trapped under the rubble of the 3 buildings and the majority of them had died.
