Last night’s clashes and bombing continue in Şırnak where the self government resistance against the genocidal attacks enter day 67. Heavy weapons stationed on armored vehicles shelled Yeni and Cumhuriyet neighborhoods through the night and intense clashes broke out in the neighborhoods. The clashes continue intermittently and several houses in Cumhuriyet neighborhood were set on fire by the state forces.

Howitzers stationed in Çakırsöğüt Gendarmerie Brigade started shelling Bahçelievler neighborhood at midnight and intense clashes broke out between state forces trying to enter the neighborhood and YPS/YPS-JIN members.

The continued bombing has the neighborhood covered in smoke and there are intense clashes around Highways Maintenance Center and the area behind it.

State forces have turned several buildings into headquarters.

Several ambulances dispatched to the area transport casualties to the Şırnak Public Hospital and the military hospital set up inside the 23rd Gendarmerie Border Division Command.

Armored vehicle dispatching continues during the nights and UAV and helicopter activity can be seen in urban and rural areas.
