In Gever (Yüksekova) district of Hakkari, Deputy Co-mayor Leyla Öztünç was detained after a raid on her house in Yeni neighborhood early this morning. On the other hand, Democratic Regions' Party (DBP) Party Assembly member Çimen Alatürk was detained in the district centre.
Co-mayor Adile Kozay who went to the municipal bus station to follow the incidents, was also detained by police units.
The detainees were taken to district police directorate, with police saying; "You shall learn the detention reason at the police office".
In the meantime, co-chair of MEYA-DER branch in Van province, Neriman Urar, who was detained in a house raid, was remanded in custody on alleged grounds of "membership to a terrorist organisation".
