Police forces have conducted raids in the Beğendik town of Siirt's Pervari district Friday morning.

Co-mayor Dijvar Ulaş and Provincial General Assembly DBP member Kerem Tokat have been detained in the operation.

The DBP-held Beğendik Municipality was raided by the police on March 21 and 7 people including administrators from the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and Democratic Regions' Party (DBP) were taken into custody.
