As political genocide operations continue under orders from AKP and the Palace, who can’t break the resistance of the Kurdish people, 7 people have been arrested and 6 detained in Batman, Mardin and Şırnak.
In line with the political genocide practices, 6 people were detained and 7 people were arrested in the most recent operations, including co-mayors of HDP-held municipalities.
BATMAN
HDP district co-chair Edip Aslan, DBP provincial assembly member Şükrü Aslan, village headman Abdurrahman Aslan, as well as Kadri Aslan, Hüseyin Aslan, Ekrem Aslan and Şirin Çiftçi detained in Tilhesen village of Batman's Gercüş (Kercews) district 2 days ago were brought to the courthouse in the wake of procedures in District Gendarmerie Command. After their statements at the prosecutor’s office, 7 people sent over to the court with charges of “aiding and abetting a terrorist organisation” were remanded in custody and sent to Midyat M Type Prison to await trial.
The General Staff had issued a statement yesterday targeting the 7 individuals with regards the operation on Tilhesen (Esentepe) village.
MARDİN
In the morning hours, Kızıltepe Municipality Co-mayor Leyla Salman, Dargeçit Municipality Co-mayor Zeynep Sipçik and Dargeçit Municipal Council Yüksel Oğuz were detained on their way to Dargeçit over Midyat district. The three female Kurdish politicians were taken into custody at the check point set up in the entrance of Midyat.
ŞIRNAK
Houses in İkizce village in Şırnak were raided by state forces earlier today. Three people, Emin Güngen, İsmail Güngen and Tahir Güngen, were detained and taken to İkizce Gendarmerie Outpost.
