CPT says 150 civilians were killed in Turkish strikes in South Kurdistan since May 2015

The Community Peacemaker Teams said that since May 2015, nearly 150 civilians have been killed and 260 civilians were injured in air strikes by the Turkish state.

On 3 April, Arif Umer (40) from the village of Şabye in Shêlazdizê and Ahmet Hasan (35) from the village of Sîte went to Dawidkê Mountain to collect endemic beets that grow in spring. However, both citizens were killed as a result of the attacks by the Turkish state. This is one of the latest crimes committed by the Turkish state against civilians in South Kurdistan.

Both citizens were targeted by the Turkish state's warplanes and lost their lives in front of a cave on Şirin Mountain in the village of Erde.

The Community Peacemaker Teams (CPT) said that both civilians were killed as a result of the air strikes by the Turkish state.

According to the statistics of the CPT, some 150 civilians have been killed and 260 injured as a result of the air strikes carried out by the Turkish state since May 2015.

The CPT strongly condemned the Turkish state's attacks on the territory of South Kurdistan.
